Clean as a Whistle................
I know it's been awhile since I submitted
an article so I wanted to let you know about some products I tried recently
that I was really impressed with.
I mentioned that I would keep you posted on various natural and "Green"
products I came across that I had a chance to try and recommend.
Well, the other day while perusing the aisles of Walmart for the umpteenth
time (I swear I could relate to the character Novalee Nation played by
Natalie Portman in the movie several years back, about the pregnant girl
abandoned by her shiftless boyfriend who lived and gave birth in a Walmart).
Not that I was abandoned by a shiftless boyfriend
while pregnant of course, but the fact that I sometimes feel that I LIVE
at Walmart! Anyway, I was taken aback by several products that caught
my eye in the cleaner section.
It appears that "Clorox" has come out with a natural cleaner
that actually doesn't require the price of your firstborn's college education
to purchase. It's called "Green Works" and you've probably been
seeing it in TV commercials lately. They offer a toilet bowl cleaner,
all purpose spray cleaner, glass cleaner and all purpose liquid cleaner
for floors and big projects. The All Natural Spray Cleaner is made of
a "coconut-based surfactant cleaning agent, corn-based ethanol, essential
oil of lemon, filtered water and a biodegradable preservative. It contains
no phosphorus or bleach." It really smells wonderful too!!
I have to say they do a great job of cleaning. So far I've tried the All
Purpose and Toilet Bowl cleaners and will be trying the Glass Cleaner
next. The ingredients for the glass cleaner was the same as all purpose,
but I'm sure the formula has a different percentage of ingredients. I
tried the all purpose to clean glass and while it wasn't bad, it did streak
a bit.
I've tried several natural cleaners in my day and some just didn't cut
the mustard, let alone grease and grime.............. if you get my drift.
However, they DID cause my cash to slither out of my wallet as though
it were well oiled. I found that the prices on many natural cleaners were
just too rich for my budget, in spite of the fact I didn't like the idea
of polluting my person, nor my home with those nasty chemicals. It was
very much a conflicting Catch 22 situation for me.
I must say that I am VERY impressed with the performance of these products.
No compromise on clean, and no worries of harsh, allergy inducing chemicals
to pollute your home...........or loved ones.
To clear up any misunderstanding before it starts, I DO NOT
work for the Clorox company. I just thought I'd share a good thing I felt
was worth passing along that was readily available. The price for both
products were under $3.00 for each, so like I said.................well
worth the price and very competitive with chemical based cleaners.
There are a few other natural cleaners I also highly recommend that are
easy on the purse. One of which is Simple Green which can be found at
Walmart and Meijers, usually in the automotive section. It's non-toxic
and great for all types of cleaning chores including laundry, which I
use it for, along with a Cleaning Ball. It's highly concentrated and costs
around $6.00 for a good sized bottle.
In addition, I'm also currently sampling a new line of NATURAL skin care
and anti-aging products that ALSO doesn't require you to cash in your
401K! My pet peeve with so-called "natural" skin care products
is they still use questionable ingredients as far as I'm concerned, yet
try to convince you they're all natural, while being priced out of the
ball-park....... unless your last name is Trump.
OR, they make all kinds of promises and claims of wonderful, miraculous
results, but you need a magnifying glass to see any or it takes too long
for them to appear. I'm very impatient, I admit.
I want INSTANT gratification. While I realize that's impractical, I've
recently had the pleasure of sampling a line brought to my attention by
one of my customers that I've never heard of before, whose ingredients
are blowing me away, as well as the results so far.............AND the
pricing. I'm talking prices EVERYONE can afford yet high caliber, result
oriented products.
I've been told I'm blessed with beautiful skin so if even I
can see and FEEL results in a very short time.......... I think that's
pretty good!!
